Proclamations
Thank you for bringing recognition to GBS/CIDP Awareness Month!
Each year, we encourage our community of patients, family members and volunteers to join us in bringing GBS/CIDP Awareness Month (May) to their city with proclamations! It’s thanks to all of you that these conditions are beginning to get the recognition they deserve. Health Canada proclaims May as GBS/CIDP Awareness Month.
What are proclamations?
Proclamations are an official declaration signed by the mayor on behalf of City Council, that officially recognize the importance of an event, a campaign, or an organization of significance, interest or benefit to the citizens of each city for a particular day, week or month. Your council will discuss each proclamation request then vote. The proclamation will then become a permanent part of your council’s minutes. All of these actions create awareness. Which in turn helps every GBS, CIDP, MMN and variants family.
Proclamations are an official declaration that will become a permanent part of your council’s minutes and get featured on their website.
Proclamations create awareness, and give visibility to the community which in turn helps every GBS, CIDP, and MMN patient and their family.
