Walk and Roll Virtually
The issue with distance or other obligations is that it makes it hard to attend an event in person. This is not a problem – we worked out all the details during the pandemic when none of us could get together.
Join a Walk and Roll already scheduled
Join a Walk and Roll virtually as an individual or a team on the same day and time, or when it is convenient for you in your own community. Go to our Walk and Roll site to register yourself and/or a team as participants as part of one of the scheduled Walk and Rolls.
This will allow you to Walk and Roll in support of patients and families in your area and across Canada. Next let your friends, family and coworkers know, and ask them to sponsor your walk.
When you register there is a dedicated URL that is the link to your own fundraising campaign. Email or post it on your social media to gain support for your virtual Walk and Roll in your own community.
How we’ll support your virtual Walk and Roll
If you are walking as an individual or a team, each virtual Hero that fundraises a minimum of $100 through Canada Helps will receive one of our Hero Boxes, that will contain a Walk and Roll t-shirt, GBS/CIDP bracelet and a foam “Thumbs-Up” that can be used for your virtual Walk and Roll. If walking as a team, the captain will receive the Hero Box to distribute the items. Let us know by email that you are joining virtually to email@example.com to coordinate mailing in time! We suggest no later than 2 weeks in advance of your walk.
If you are an individual Hero who raises $1000.00 or more, we will send you a TurtleWear hoodie as our thanks to you for an outstanding personal campaign.
Share your spirit
Make sure to take and share pictures from your walk and send them to us so that we can proudly share your awareness efforts with the rest of the community across Canada.
If you have any questions, concerns, or need more help about how this all works, please contact Nancy Edwards at firstname.lastname@example.org or 647-560-6842. I am happy to help!
Thank you for supporting our GBS/CIDP Foundation of Canada’s Walk and Rolls!
